Data Notes
Understanding the prevalence of depression among Americans is vital for shaping public health initiatives and fostering empathy. Leveraging data from the Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey, this project explores the mental health landscape in our society. To understand some of the differences among sub populations, you are able to filter the data by age, sex at birth, and the region someone lives in.
To gather the data, I utilized a Python script to gather the data from the Census Bureau’s FTP and visualized the data through Tableau.
